Teacher Insight Community  Teacher Insight – End of year update

Thank you to our teachers and advisors for sharing your expertise and experience throughout the academic year. Your insights have helped shape conversations, decision-making and activity across the à½à½AV.

In some cases, feedback has directly informed new initiatives and resources. In others, it has contributed to ongoing work and strategic discussions, helping colleagues better understand the needs of students, teachers and advisers.

These examples highlight some of the key ways feedback has influenced our work during 2025–26 and continues to inform activity across the University. 

AI in Education 

You said: Students need guidance on AI and universities need clear, consistent messaging. 

We did: Your feedback informed the development of an AI session for the Teacher Conference and is continuing to shape staff understanding and discussions around AI use with prospective students. 

Commuter Students 

You said: Commuter students need tailored support and opportunities to belong. 

We did: Your insight has informed student support research, communications, events and wider university conversations about how best to support commuter students. 

Careers and Employability 

You said: Students need stronger employability skills and awareness of future pathways. 

We did: Your feedback informed the design of a new Years 11–13 careers session and continues to shape careers-focused outreach activity. 

Students with Additional Needs 

You said: Transition support and clearer information are essential. 

We did: Your insight has contributed to ongoing work around transition, induction and support information, including the development of a glossary of support terminology. 

Arts, Music and Languages 

You said: Universities should continue demonstrating the value of arts, music and language degrees. 

We did: We began work with Student Recruitment Marketing on alumni case studies, organised subject facility tours for outreach colleagues and strengthened employability messaging for subject promotion activities. 

Applications and Clearing 

You said: Students need clearer application and clearing guidance. 

We did: Your feedback informed updates to webinars, school communications and information about Priority Clearing. 

Value of Higher Education 

You said: Students and parents are increasingly focused on cost and employability outcomes. 

We did: Your insight continues to inform outreach communications relating to finance, employability and information for parents and supporters. 

Future Qualifications 

You said: Teachers want clarity around qualification reform and subject pathways. 

We did: Your feedback will help inform future guidance, outreach messaging and strategic work relating to qualification reform.
